Details: This summer villa was the very first house built in Bonaire/Mal Pas even before the construction of the marina in the 1920´s. During the Spanish Civil War it served the present owner´s family as a refuge from the chaos of war. Since hardly any structural changes have been made since the house was built there are still relics to be found originating from a time when a well-developed infrastructure, supply routes and shopping possibilities were almost non-existent and people were forced to live self-dependent autonomous lives: in the outbuildings in the garden at the back of the house were originally henhouses, next to them is a charcoal oven where bread was baked, and the ice box still exists where blocks of ice were stored and which dates back to the 1920´s. The house has 2 floors. On the ground floor is the living/dining area with a stately fireplace and high ceilings, a bathroom, a kitchen, a storage room, and the stairway to the first floor and access to the garden which is located at the rear of the house. On the first floor 4 double bedrooms and a bathroom are located. From this floor there are panorama views over the port of Bonaire and the entire Bay of Pollensa. In the outside area the aforementioned outbuilding is located, and this currently houses a bathroom and a storage room. The garden offers enough space for the construction of a pool. Due to the sloping plot the garage is located on the ground floor and is directly accessible from the street. In 2016 the old wooden windows were renewed and replaced with double glazed aluminum windows, and the electrical systems were renovated. Only 50 m away is a variety of restaurants as well as a direct sea access, and the nearest beach of Mal Pas is just 100 m away. The nearest shops are to be found in Alcudia, about 3 km away. In the last 2 years there has been a great deal of important investment in the renovation and construction of holiday properties throughout the area of Bonaire / Mal Pas, and the entire residential area has become one of the most attractive in northern Mallorca. Returns from holiday lettings: In terms of property type, this property is suitable for holiday letting. For initial orientation you can use the “Porta Holiday Returns Calculator” without obligation to calculate your potential returns from holiday letting. NB: Due to the current legal situation it is possible that in certain municipalities renting restrictions may apply, or new touristic licences may not be granted. Your Porta Mallorquina real estate consultant will be pleased to advise you whether the property you have chosen is affected. Go to Returns Calculator. Location & surrounding area: Alcudia, which in the Middle Ages was actually the original capital of Mallorca, offers one of the longest beach promenades of the island and has a correspondingly perfectly developed infrastructure, as well as some very interesting sub-areas that you should definitely be visited. Surrounded by an impressive city wall, the old town of Alcudia offers a strikingly clean and orderly appearance throughout and exudes a unique charm, especially at early evening. Many bars and restaurants of all type are spread over the town, and there is something for every taste. Also not to be missed is the extensive market on Tuesdays and Sundays. Alcudia, which is geographically situated on a peninsula but also offers two very interesting residential areas; Bonaire in the north and Aucanada in the south.
